postdoc at Yale

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research assistant to explore the activation and functionalization of carbon dioxide using late transition metal catalysts, or the synthesis of biomimetic analogues of the enzyme RuBisCO, with Professor Nilay Hazari in the Department of Chemistry at Yale University. The project will focus on the design of new catalysts followed by mechanistic investigations to understand how the catalysts work and is for an initial period of 12 months.

The successful applicant will already have a PhD in Chemistry, or have submitted a thesis prior to taking up the appointment, and will have a strong background in inorganic or organometallic chemistry. Experience in the handling of air sensitive materials is required.
