Solar H2 Production)
School of Chemistry, The University of Manchester, United Kingdom
Closing date for application: 30 October 2009; Start date: from January 2010;
Duration: 24 months.
Salary: £28,839+ per annum
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant to work on
Bio-inspired Solar Hydrogen Production in the group of Dr Erwin Reisner. The
cross-disciplinary research project involves anaerobic synthetic inorganic
chemistry (Fe, Ru, Ni complexes), a range of advanced spectroscopic techniques,
X-ray single crystal diffraction, electro- and photochemistry, enzyme chemistry,
and nanomaterials. The work will be performed with national (e.g., EPR and
magnetochemistry) as well as international collaborators from Grenoble, France
(Université Joseph Fourier) and Pittsburgh, PA (Carnegie Mellon University).
The successful applicant will already have a PhD or have submitted a thesis
