Dear Colleagues,
A postdoctoral fellowship will be available, September 1, 2008, in the Radiopharmaceutical Chemistry Laboratories of the Division of Nuclear Medicine at Children's Hospital Boston/Harvard Medical School. The goal of the project is the development and validation of novel methods to measure the chemical stability of 64Cu radiopharmaceuticals.
Our laboratory has a long-standing interest in metal-based radiopharmaceuticals, particularly those based on 64Cu. The focus of this new project will, however, be on the measurement of the bioavailability of 64Cu rather than on synthesis, although some synthesis will be required.
Our research program is supported by a new small animal imaging facility that includes microPET and microCT scanners. Candidates should have a strong background in analytical chemistry and/or HPLC. The ability to perform very careful measurements at very low analyte concentrations is essential. Experience in radiochemistry is a plus but is not required.

Interested candidates should reply with a CV, cover letter, and the names of two references to:

Physics is like sex: sure, it may give some practical results, but that's not why we do it.
